Ginesys at India Fashion Forum 2014

BlogIMAGES Group once again proudly presented the 14th edition of India Fashion Forum. Held on 17th and 18th January, this mega forum saw world visionaries and think tanks share their vision at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai.

Print Missing Barcodes at the POS



What to do if there is customer wanting to buy a product but the barcode is missing ?

Rebarcoding is generally done for items only at Head office or warehouse. But now Ginesys has a new feature by which it is possible to look up an item via search and print the barcode for the same at the shop’s point of sale itself.

Hence this allows rebarcoding to be a less expensive effort, saving logistics efforts and also increases customer satisfaction and pushes sales.


Try before you buy online

Gone are the days, when consumers steered clear of online shopping because it did  not give them an option to try out what they were about to buy. Online retailers have been busy making shopping experience as close to physical shopping experience.

Over the years in India, one of the biggest concerns for online shopping in categories such as apparels and accessories is that customers don’t know how exactly the garments will and accessories look on them.

Virtual trial room along with live chat gives that extra confidence to the customer who wants to put a face against the seller and they have witnessed 20-25 per cent increase in revenues in categories

However Prashant, CEO of Ginesys believes that to make an impact with Indian users, the current applications need to evolve much more. As these trial rooms are for a limited set of products and usually work separately from the main checkout process.

Amplify Sales by using Bundling in Ginesys


Bundling  means making a group of items. Sometimes there is a situation arises that some items, individually , don’t get sold out easily but as soon as you make the bundle or group of those products ,same  items looks a better bet to customers as compared to buying them individually and the sales increases. This is because the  retailer can offer the customer a better price as he is buying more. So Bundeling or grouping is always a better option to enhance your sales.

Ginesys has this option of  creating a new bundled item from the existing items. For Example, a shirt (G1000) and a trouser (G1001) are having pieces 50 pieces each in stock and now there is a need to sell them as bundles, all we need to do is open Bundle option in GINESYS, select the old barcodes (G1000, G1001), specify or create a new item say G1002, specify the quantity of consuming and output and save the entry, it subtracts the quantity from old barcodes (G1000, G1001) and add the specified quantity in Receive Stock to the (G1002) barcode.

So just select the Items which looks a better bet together, rather individually, make a bundle of them, generate a new barcode for it using Ginesys and sell them as easy as you like.
