Batch Serial Support in Ginesys and Zwing- One of the key highlights of Ginesys's progress in 2023 is the integration of Batch Serial Support into both the Ginesys ERP, Ginesys POS and Zwing POS (Cloud POS and MPOS) platforms. Batch serial support is a feature that enhances inventory management and traceability. This addition empowers businesses to efficiently manage and track batches and serial numbers, enhancing inventory control and providing greater visibility into the entire supply chain. The feature ensures accuracy in product traceability, facilitating compliance with industry regulations.

Live Sync between Ginesys POS and Ginesys ERP- The introduction of live sync ensures seamless communication between Ginesys POS and Ginesys ERP, fostering real-time data updates and enhancing operational efficiency. This allows immediate two-way data sync with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, ensuring real-time updates of inventory and sales info from physical stores to the brand's head office ERP system. Live Sync has already garnered praise during its initial rollout, with Manyavar and Biba as early adopters. With the implementation of Live Sync at 250+ brands, sales and stock data in the Ginesys ERP can be immediately visualized through dashboards and instantly propagated to web stores.
  3. Audit Trail Enhancements- Ginesys fortified its robustness measures with audit trail enhancements, providing users with a detailed record of system activities. These improvements help in precise tracking and visualization of audit data. In this release, we have improved the audit tracking to only record relevant user actions and ignore system-related updates, making the audit log more user-friendly. We've also introduced an on-screen option for viewing newly tracked audit data in the Head Office (HO). This feature is crucial for maintaining data integrity and compliance.
  4. Audit Output Management and Filtering Improvements- Improved audit reporting management ensures that businesses can generate and distribute essential documents seamlessly. This enhancement contributes to a smoother user experience, saving time and enhancing overall productivity.

Ginesys POS Upgrades

1. Multiple Offers in a Single Bill

Ginesys POS now supports the inclusion of multiple offers in a single bill, providing retailers with more flexibility in crafting promotional strategies. Previously, Ginesys POS allowed the application of only one type of bill-level benefit—either Promotion, Manual Discount, or Coupon Discount. However, with the recent enhancement, users can now apply multiple types of bill-level benefits within the same POS bill. This enhancement empowers users to combine these benefits, providing a more dynamic and customizable approach to crafting promotional strategies. A noteworthy addition to this enhancement is the introduction of a new system setting. This setting allows users to choose whether to allow or restrict the redemption of a coupon on a POS bill where a bill-level promotion has already been applied. This system setting is seamlessly integrated into the Master Policy, Site Policy, and Role Policy across both Head Office and POS, aligning with the current system architecture.

2. From D2C to Omnichannel

Ginesys shows the evolution of Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands from online-only to omnichannel operations and emphasizes the importance of a robust tech stack for successful transitions. Ginesys One's omnichannel suite simplifies tech stacks, enhancing customer experiences, and driving sales for D2C brands. 

Integration between ERP, POS, and Order Management System (OMS) is crucial for streamlined order processing and inventory management in omnichannel operations. The advantages of Ginesys One's complete omnichannel suite include seamless integration, efficient inventory management, streamlined sales tracking, and enhanced customer experience.

3. New Promotion Types at Bill and Item Levels

Ginesys introduced new retail POS software for the Buy-Get promotion POS billing, allowing businesses to diversify their promotional tactics and cater to varying customer preferences. 

When a promotion is implemented at the item level, the discount is then applied to the designated items, effectively rendering them free upon checkout. For Instance, the promo says- Buy a Shirt A worth Rs 1000/- and Get a Shirt B worth Rs 500/- Free. So, in this case, the 100% discount was applied to Shirt B, making the worth Rs 0/-. Consequently, during the point-of-sale (POS) billing process, taxes were only levied on Shirt A. 

Ginesys Retail ERP has recently enhanced its capabilities with an innovative feature in the Buy-Get promotional resolution. This advancement involves intelligently apportioning the item level bill discount to both the items. So, when apportioning the discount between Shirt A and B, assuming a discount ratio of 40-60, the respective values would be Rs 600 and Rs 170, respectively. Hence, with the help of this enhancement, Ginesys POS software users can apply GST on all Get items too.
